VACANCY: Senior Sales Executive

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Sales Executive to lead and support our sales operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial mindset, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in monitoring sales performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting the wider sales team to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Oversight & Reporting
  • Monitor and raise any sales reporting concerns related to low margins and orders below £150.
  • Review and escalate any reports that may impact timely and complete delivery of customer orders.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
 
Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and communication.
  • Monitor service metrics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail to spot inefficiencies

 

Team Coordination & Leadership and suggest enhancements.
  • Distribute and monitor workloads across the entire sales team to ensure efficiency and balance.
  • Support team members with guidance and problem-solving to maintain high performance.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align team efforts with business goals.

 

Customer Retention & Loyalty
  • Support onboarding of new customers with a focus on service quality and responsiveness.
  • Promote trust and reliability through consistent and proactive communication.
 
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer queries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with regular customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Contact new customers upon account setup with a welcome pack, gather feedback, and assist with placing their first order.
  • Work closely with Business Development Managers to ensure a seamless customer experience.

 

Service Excellence & Issue Resolution
  • Handle and manage customer complaints with empathy and efficiency.
  • Raise and process credit notes for delivery discrepancies or product issues.
  • Investigate root causes of recurring problems and implement preventative solutions.
  • Go the extra mile to resolve issues before they escalate, ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, account management, or operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of the bakery industry or foodservice sector is a plus.
